My story
I found something I loved in the details.
I was drawn to microlocs because of the precision behind them. The parting. The sizing. The technique. The patience it takes to create hundreds of individual locs that eventually become one beautiful head of hair.
But the more I learned, the more I realized the technical side was only part of what mattered to me.
Hair is personal. You’re trusting someone with something you’ll wear every single day, and I don’t take that lightly.
That’s what became By Her Measure.
My training
Trained with intention.
My training in microloc and Sisterlocks techniques was completed under a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant.
That training gave me a technical foundation in establishment, interlocking, retightening, maintenance, and care that I continue to build on through hands-on work and continued learning.

But you’re the soul.
I believe good loc care starts with paying attention. Your density matters. Your texture matters. Your lifestyle matters. How often you realistically want to sit for maintenance matters.
There isn’t one perfect loc size, grid, or method for everyone. My job is to understand what we’re working with, explain your options honestly, and help create a loc journey that makes sense for you.
